Moved to Pukekohe at the start of 2025 and Crossfit Pukekohe welcomed me to their community. A great example of what Crossfit is about and an amazing group of people to train with.

Been going since September 2024, absolutely fell in love, the CrossFit community here is the kind you wanna be around when you're new to CrossFit and you're not quite sure what you're up to but you've always wanted to give it a go. No judgement passed, everyone is there to grind for themselves. The best 'hype you up coaches' who will push you to be your best everytime. You can guarantee that you will walk out feeling like an absolute champ after every session and it's this feeling that makes you want to come back for more. The perfect place to train in Pukekohe. An amazing community and owner Linda is the most dedicated and inspiring coach I ever had. Be aware, if you do a trial you'll get hooked for sure. We ended up going 5 to 6 times a week. Absolutely amazing place ! It becomes your family.

Opened in 2012. Still Pukekohe's only CrossFit affiliate.

Every class is led by a coach who watches how you move and scales the workout to suit you, whatever your age, fitness level or experience. Workouts and equipment change daily — variety is king, and the mix of gymnastics, weightlifting and cardio means no two sessions look the same.

How we do things here

Amy found CrossFit in 2019, and what started as her own training turned into the community that gave her confidence, strength and lifelong friendships. She ended up taking on the gym. That’s the whole reason it runs the way it does.

We’re a family-focused gym. Kids are welcome to come along with their parents and have a safe space to hang out while you train — you shouldn’t have to choose between being a parent and looking after yourself.

We’re tucked away in the heart of Pukekohe, with indoor and outdoor space, plenty of off-street parking, and the only 5m rope climb in town.

Our coaching team is trained in the CrossFit methodology, with a focus on quality movement, technique and safety. Amy holds a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer qualification and specialises in women’s health rehabilitation. Jade, our Head Coach, has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science. Carmi has been lifting since she was 10 and has competed internationally. Shannon came through as a member from 2023 and now coaches our weightlifting classes. Nick — better known as Gappy — is one of our dedicated 5:15am regulars.

You’re not a membership number here. You’re part of our CrossFit Whānau.

What a week looks like

CrossFit classes are the backbone — constantly varied, functional workouts mixing strength, skill and conditioning. Some days you’ll lift, some days you’ll be on the floor gasping. Everything scales.

Weightlifting classes are there if you want dedicated time on the snatch, clean and jerk, plus strength work and accessories to support your lifting.

Kids and Teens classes run during the school term. Kids learn through games and age-appropriate activities; teens get more advanced movements and scaled training. Both work through our progressive grading system, so there are clear goals to chase and achievements to be proud of.

Saturdays are CrossRocks — longer cardio efforts mixed with functional movements, usually in pairs. Chip away at it or race your partner. No pressure, no ego, just a good way to finish the week.

Elite Membership holders also get Open Gym: unguided, non-coached time to practise movements, work a skill, train with a mate or prep for competition.

New here? Start with an introduction session with one of our coaches to get you moving well in the foundational movements, then a week of classes to see how you find it.

CrossFit since 2019

Amy is the owner of CrossFit Pukekohe and discovered CrossFit in 2019. What started as a training journey became something much bigger — a community that helped build confidence, strength and lifelong friendships, ultimately inspiring her to take on the gym herself.

Amy holds a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer qualification and specialises in women’s health rehabilitation, with a passion for helping people find ways to train that work for their individual bodies, abilities and goals.

Her favourite movement is the handstand push-up, while the assault bike is definitely her least favourite! She loves the supportive community that CrossFit creates and believes there is nothing quite like the friendships and connections made through training together.

For Amy, CrossFit Pukekohe is about creating a place where everyone feels welcome, supported and capable of more than they thought possible.
